14KT White Gold 1.90ct Tanzanite and Diamond Ring A6032. Great Condition! BN2001PF. One electronically tested 14KT white gold ladies cast tanzanite and diamond ring with a bright polish finish. Condition is new, good workmanship. The featured tanzanite is mounted in 18KT yellow gold accented prongs, set within a two tiered diamond bezel, supported by split shoulders and completed by a two and one-half millimeter wide band. Identified with markings of "14K". Containing: One prong set pear mixed cut natural tanzanite, measuring 9.70 x 6.45 x 4.19mm, 8% bulge factor, approximate weight of 1.90ct., clarity is eye clean, type I, medium dark, moderately strong, violetish blue color, (GIA vB 6/4), cut is good. Transmitting light with no distortion, transparent. Graded in the setting. Tanzanite is a very rare gemstone that is only found in the country of Tanzania. Originally discovered in 1967. Tiffany & Company, named the stone Tanzanite. It is found in the Usumburu Mountains that border the Umba Valley of northern Tanzania. Tanzanite occurs in gray, brown, violet, blue, reddish-purple, & green. The gem is interesting because of its exceptional pleochroism. Rotated in different directions a tanzanite will exhibit multiple changes of color. Tanzanite has a low tolerance to ultrasonic cleaning, and should not be cleaned using this method. Twenty-two prong set round brilliant cut diamonds, measuring 1.10 - 1.00 x 0.63mm (depth est.) approximate total weight of 22 Stones = 0.11ct. Graded in the setting. Clarity SI-1 to I-1. Color F - H. Nineteen prong set round brilliant cut diamonds, measuring 1.70 - 1.70 x 1.02mm (depth est.) approximate total weight of 19 Stones = 0.41ct. Graded in the setting. Clarity SI-2 to I-1. Color F - H. Total Weight of Colored Stones 1.90ct. Total Weight of Diamonds 0.52ct. Total Weight of Ring 5.20gm. AIG Appraised at $7,200.00.
