One electronically tested 14KT white gold ladies cast tanzanite and diamond ring with a bright polish finish. Condition is new, good workmanship. The featured tanzanite is set within swirling diamond bezels supported by elaborated diamond set split shoulders, completed by a four and one-half millimeter wide band. Identified with markings of "K14". Containing: One prong set oval cabochon cut natural tanzanite, measuring 14.52 x 11.10 x 7.40mm, 15%. bulge factor, approximate weight of 12.41ct., clarity is moderately included, type I, medium dark, moderately strong, bluish violet color, (GIA bV 6/4), cut is good. Transmitting light somewhat diffusely, transparent to translucent. Naturally occurring internal & external characteristics are present. Colored Stone Grading Report attached. Graded in the setting. Tanzanite is a very rare gemstone that is only found in the country of Tanzania. Originally discovered in 1967. Tiffany & Company, named the stone Tanzanite. It is found in the Usumburu Mountains that border the Umba Valley of northern Tanzania. Tanzanite occurs in gray, brown, violet, blue, reddish-purple, & green. The gem is interesting because of its exceptional pleochroism. Rotated in different directions a tanzanite will exhibit multiple changes of color. Tanzanite has a low tolerance to ultrasonic cleaning, and should not be cleaned using this method. One Hundred Thirty-Eight prong set round brilliant cut diamonds, measuring 1.90 - 1.70 x 1.08mm (depth est.) approximate. Total Weight of 138 Stones = 3.03ct. Faint brown secondary color throughout. Graded in the setting. Clarity: SI-1 to I-1. Color: K - M. Total Weight of Colored Stones 12.41ct. Total Weight of Diamonds 3.03ct. Total Weight of Ring 16.86 grams. AIG Appraised at $17,730.00.
