14KT White Gold 12.47ct Tanzanite and Diamond Ring A6241. Great Condition! KC4573UT. One electronically tested 14KT white gold ladies cast tanzanite & diamond ring with a bright finish. Condition is new, good workmanship. The featured tanzanite is set within an elaborate diamond bezel, completed by a tapering four millimeter wide band. Identified with markings of "14K". Containing: One prong set oval mixed cut natural tanzanite, measuring 16.88 x 13.40 x 7.73mm, approximate weight of 12.47ct., clarity is eye clean, type I, medium, very slightly grayish, bluish violet color, (GIA bV 5/3), cut is good. Transmitting light with no distortion, transparent. Colored Stone Grading Report attached. Graded in the setting. Tanzanite is a very rare gemstone that is only found in the country of Tanzania. Originally discovered in 1967. Tiffany & Company, named the stone Tanzanite. It is found in the Usumburu Mountains that border the Umba Valley of northern Tanzania. Tanzanite occurs in gray, brown, violet, blue, reddish-purple, & green. The gem is interesting because of its exceptional pleochroism. Rotated in different directions a tanzanite will exhibit multiple changes of color. Tanzanite has a low tolerance to ultrasonic cleaning, and should not be cleaned using this method. Thirty-four prong set round brilliant cut diamonds, measuring 3.65 - 1.60 x 1.58mm (depth est.) approximate total weight of 34 Stones = 2.13ct. The color grade reflects the entire range of color for this group. Graded in the setting. Clarity SI-2 to I-2. Color G - J. Total Weight of Colored Stones 12.47ct. Total Weight of Diamonds 2.13ct. Total Weight of Ring 12.81gm. AIG Appraised at $31,000.00.
