14KT White Gold 17.17ct GIA Cert Tanzanite & Diamond Pendant with Chain A5862. Good Condition. RX3009WV. One electronically tested 14KT white gold ladies cast & assembled tanzanite and diamond pendant/enhancer with chain. Condition is new, good workmanship. The pendant/enhancer features a tanzanite set within an elaborate diamond lattice gallery with yellow gold accents, completed by a diamond set hinged snap locking bail with safety. The pendant is supported by an eighteen inch length 14KT white gold designer style chain terminating in a lobster claw clasp. Bright polish finish. Identified with markings of "14K". Containing: One prong set oval mixed cut natural tanzanite, measuring 18.45 x 13.47 x 9.67mm, exact weight 17.17ct., clarity is eye clean, type I, medium dark, moderately strong, violetish blue color, (GIA vB 6/4), cut is good. Transmitting light with no distortion, transparent. Colored Stone Grading Report attached. Graded loose prior to setting in the GIA Laboratory, Report # 1156634343. Tanzanite is a very rare gemstone that is only found in the country of Tanzania. Originally discovered in 1967. Tiffany & Company, named the stone Tanzanite. It is found in the Usumburu Mountains that border the Umba Valley of northern Tanzania. Tanzanite occurs in gray, brown, violet, blue, reddish-purple, & green. The gem is interesting because of its exceptional pleochroism. Rotated in different directions a tanzanite will exhibit multiple changes of color. Tanzanite has a low tolerance to ultrasonic cleaning, and should not be cleaned using this method. One hundred five prong set round brilliant cut diamonds, measuring 2.90 - 0.90 x 1.14mm (depth est.) approximate total weight of 105 Stones = 2.11ct. Graded in the setting. Clarity SI-2 to I-1. Color F - H. Total Weight of Colored Stones 17.17ct. Total Weight of Diamonds 2.11ct. Total Weight of Pendant/Enhancer With Chain 15.30gm. AIG Appraised at $57,465.00.
