14KT White Gold 26.51ct GIA Cert Tanzanite & Diamond Ring A5868. Great Condition. XJ10031ET. One electronically tested 14KT white gold ladies cast tanzanite and diamond ring with a bright polish finish. Condition is new, good workmanship. The featured tanzanite is set within an elaborate two tiered diamond lattice gallery, completed by a three and one-half millimeter wide band. Identified with markings of "K14". Containing: One prong set rectangular step cut natural tanzanite, measuring 19.79 x 15.98 x 11.71mm, exact weight 26.51ct., clarity is eye clean, type I, medium dark, moderately strong, violetish blue color, (GIA vB 6/4), cut is good. Transmitting light with no distortion, transparent. Colored Stone Grading Report attached. Graded loose prior to setting in the GIA Laboratory, Report # 2151636362. Tanzanite is a very rare gemstone that is only found in the country of Tanzania. Originally discovered in 1967. Tiffany & Company, named the stone Tanzanite. It is found in the Usumburu Mountains that border the Umba Valley of northern Tanzania. Tanzanite occurs in gray, brown, violet, blue, reddish-purple, & green. The gem is interesting because of its exceptional pleochroism. Rotated in different directions a tanzanite will exhibit multiple changes of color. Tanzanite has a low tolerance to ultrasonic cleaning, and should not be cleaned using this method. Fifty-three prong set round brilliant cut diamonds, measuring 3.70 - 2.50 x 1.86mm (depth est.) approximate total weight of 53 Stones = 3.68ct. Graded in the setting. Clarity SI-2 to I-1. Color F - H. Total Weight of Colored Stones 26.51ct. Total Weight of Diamonds 3.68ct. Total Weight of Ring 22.40gm. AIG Appraised at $89,500.00.
