14KT White Gold 3.72ct Tanzanite & Diamond Ring RM1224. New Condition! GN1002ZC. One electronically tested 14KT white gold ladies cast tanzanite and diamond ring with a bright polish finish. Condition is good. The featured tanzanite is set within an elaborate floral diamond bezel, supported by diamond set split shoulders and completed by a two and one-half millimeter wide band. Identified with markings of "K14". Containing: One prong set oval mixed cut natural tanzanite, measuring 10.90 x 8.60 x 5.50mm, 8% bulge factor, approximate weight of 3.72ct., clarity is eye clean, type I, medium, very slightly grayish, bluish violet color, (GIA bV 5/3), cut is good. Transmitting light with no distortion, transparent. Graded in the setting. Tanzanite is a very rare gemstone that is only found in the country of Tanzania. Originally discovered in 1967. Tiffany & Company, name the stone Tanzanite. It is fund in the Usumburu Mountains that border the Umba Valley of Northern Tanzania. Tanzanite occurs in gray brown, violet, blue, reddish-purple & green. The gem is interesting because of it exceptional pleochroism. Rotated in differently directions a tanzanite will exhibit multiple changes of color. Tanzanite has a low tolerance to ultrasonic cleaning, and should not be cleaned using this method. Sixty-two prong set round brilliant cut diamonds, measuring 1.70 - 1.50 x 0.96mm (depth est.) approximate total weight of 62 Stones =0.92ct. Graded in the setting. Clarity SI-1 to I-1, Color F-H. Total weight of color stones 3.72ct. Total weight of diamonds 0.92ct. Total weight of ring 6.80gm. AIG Appraised at $12,815.00.
