One electronically tested 14KT white gold ladies cast & assembled tanzanite and diamond necklace with a bright polish finish. Seventeen inch length necklace features a tanzanite and diamond pendant supported by a flexible tanzanite and diamond ribbon, terminating in a concealed clasp with safety. Identified with markings of "14K". Condition is new, good workmanship. Containing: One prong set oval mixed cut natural tanzanite, measuring 10.80 x 8.60 x 5.00.mm, 6%. bulge factor, approximate weight of 3.34ct., clarity is eye clean, type I, medium dark, very slightly grayish, violetish blue color, (GIA vB 6/3), cut is good. Transmitting light with no distortion, transparent. Graded in the setting. Forty-six prong set oval mixed cut natural tanzanites, measuring 6.50 x 5.00. x 2.80mm, approximate total weight of 28.62ct., clarity is eye clean, type I, medium dark, very slightly grayish, bluish violet color, (GIA bV 6/3), cut is good. Transmitting light with no distortion, transparent. Measurements & the color grade are an average for the group. Graded in the setting. Tanzanite is a very rare gemstone that is only found in the country of Tanzania. Originally discovered in 1967. Tiffany & Company, named the stone Tanzanite. It is found in the Usumburu Mountains that border the Umba Valley of northern Tanzania. Tanzanite occurs in gray, brown, violet, blue, reddish-purple, & green. The gem is interesting because of its exceptional pleochroism. Rotated in different directions a tanzanite will exhibit multiple changes of color. Tanzanite has a low tolerance to ultrasonic cleaning, and should not be cleaned using this method. Fourteen prong set round brilliant cut diamonds, measuring 2.90 - 2.80 x 1.71mm (depth est.) approximate total weight of 14 Stones = 1.28ct. Graded in the setting. Clarity: SI-1 to I-1 . Color: G - I Forty-Six prong set round brilliant cut diamonds, measuring 2.00. - 1.90 x 1.17mm (depth est.) approximate total weight of 46 Stones = 1.34ct. Graded in the setting. Clarity: SI-1 to I-1 . Color: G - I Forty-Two prong set round brilliant cut diamonds, measuring 1.30 - 1.20 x 0.75mm (depth est.) approximate total weight of 42 Stones = 0.39ct. Graded in the setting. Clarity: SI-1 to I-1 . Color: G - I. Total Weight of Colored Stones 31.96ct. Total Weight of Diamonds 3.01ct. Total Weight of Necklace 29.10 grams. AIG Appraised at $40,880.00.
