One pair electronically tested 14KT white gold ladies cast & assembled ruby and diamond earrings with standard backs. Condition is new, good workmanship. Each earring features a ruby set within an elaborate tiered diamond set stylized star burst design, completed by double diamond set cluster drops. Bright polish finish. Identified with markings of "14K". Containing: Two prong set oval mixed cut natural rubies, measuring 9.00 x 6.00 x 4.30mm, 10% bulge factor, approximate total weight of 4.32ct., clarity is heavily included, type II, medium, very slightly brownish, slightly purplish red color, (GIA slpR 5/3), cut is good. Transmitting light somewhat diffusely, transparent to translucent. Naturally occurring internal & external characteristics are present. Indications of laboratory high temperature heat treatment, with flux additives. Measurements & the color grade are an average for the pair. Graded in the setting. Ruby has a low tolerance to rhodium plating, repolishing the surface, & ultrasonic cleaning. One hundred eighty-eight prong set round brilliant cut diamonds, measuring 2.60 - 1.90 x 1.35mm (depth est.) approximate total weight of 188 stones = 5.50ct. Graded in the setting. Clarity SI-1 to I-1. Color G-I. Total weight of Ruby 4.32ct. Total weight of Diamonds 5.50ct. Total weight of Earrings 14.67gm. AIG Appraised at $19,220.00.
