One pair electronically tested 14KT white gold ladies cast & assembled tanzanite and diamond dangle earrings with standard backs. Condition is new, good workmanship. Each earring features a stylized tanzanite and diamond floral drop, completed by a diamond set floral design. Bright polish finish. Condition is new, good workmanship. Identified with markings of "K14". Containing: Two prong set rectangular cushion mixed cut natural tanzanites, measuring 9.40 x 6.90 x 4.60mm, 10%. bulge factor, approximate total weight of 5.20ct., clarity is eye clean, type I, medium dark, very slightly grayish, bluish violet color, (GIA bV 6/3), cut is good. Transmitting light with no distortion, transparent. Measurements & the color grade are an average for the pair. Graded in the setting. Tanzanite is a very rare gemstone that is only found in the country of Tanzania. Originally discovered in 1967. Tiffany & Company, named the stone Tanzanite. It is found in the Usumburu Mountains that border the Umba Valley of northern Tanzania. Tanzanite occurs in gray, brown, violet, blue, reddish-purple, & green. The gem is interesting because of its exceptional pleochroism. Rotated in different directions a tanzanite will exhibit multiple changes of color. Tanzanite has a low tolerance to ultrasonic cleaning, and should not be cleaned using this method. Twenty-Six prong set round brilliant cut diamonds, measuring 2.80 - 2.40 x 1.56mm (depth est.) approximate total weight of 26 Stones = 1.77ct. Graded in the setting. Clarity: SI-1 to I-1. Color: G - I Two Hundred Sixteen prong set round brilliant cut diamonds, measuring 1.30 - 1.00 x 0.69mm (depth est.) approximate total weight of 216 Stones = 1.28ct. Graded in the setting. Clarity: SI-2 to I-2. Color: G - I. Total Weight of Colored Stones 5.20ct. Total Weight of Diamonds 3.05ct. Total Weight of Earrings 10.32 grams. AIG Appraised at $21,195.00.
