14KT White Gold 55.83ct Tanzanite and Diamond Necklace RM1531. Great Condition! JF2004XZ. One electronically tested 14KT white gold ladies cast & assembled tanzanite and diamond necklace. Seventeen and one-half inch length necklace consists of a tanzanite and diamond floret pendant supported by a flexible tanzanite ribbon interspersed by diamond duos, terminating in a concealed clasp with safety. Bright polish finish. Identified with markings of "14K". Condition is new, good workmanship. Containing: Sixty-four prong set oval mixed cut natural tanzanites approximate. Total Weight of 55.83ct., clarity is eye clean, type I, medium dark, very slightly grayish, bluish violet color, (GIA bV 6/3), cut is good. Transmitting light with no distortion, transparent. Color grade is an average for the group. Graded in the setting. Tanzanite is a very rare gemstone that is only found in the country of Tanzania. Originally discovered in 1967. Tiffany & Company, named the stone Tanzanite. It is found in the Usumburu Mountains that border the Umba Valley of northern Tanzania. Tanzanite occurs in gray, brown, violet, blue, reddish-purple, & green. The gem is interesting because of its exceptional pleochroism. Rotated in different directions a tanzanite will exhibit multiple changes of color. Tanzanite has a low tolerance to ultrasonic cleaning, and should not be cleaned using this method. Thirty-Six prong set round brilliant cut diamonds, measuring 1.90 - 1.70 x 1.08mm (depth est.) approximate. Total Weight of 36 Stones = 0.74ct. Graded in the setting. Clarity: SI-1 to I-1. Color: G - I. Total Weight of Colored Stones 55.83ct.. Total Weight of Diamonds 0.74ct. AIG Appraised at $46,510.00.
