One electronically tested 14KT white gold ladies cast & assembled tanzanite and diamond pendant with chain. Condition is new, good workmanship. The pendant features a tanzanite set within a stylized diamond cluster, completed by a 14KT white gold bail. The pendant is supported by a twenty inch length 18KT white gold designer style link chain, terminating in a lobster claw clasp. Bright polish finish. Identified with markings of "14K". Containing: One prong set oval mixed cut natural tanzanite, measuring 14.00 x 10.30 x 7.20mm, 5% bulge factor, approximate weight of 7.55ct., clarity is eye clean, type I, medium, very slightly grayish, bluish violet color, (GIA bV 5/3), cut is good. Transmitting light with no distortion, transparent. Colored Stone Grading Report attached. Graded in the setting. Tanzanite is a very rare gemstone that is only found in the country of Tanzania. Originally discovered in 1967. Tiffany & Company, named the stone Tanzanite. It is found in the Usumburu Mountains that border the Umba Valley of northern Tanzania. Tanzanite occurs in gray, brown, violet, blue, reddish-purple, & green. The gem is interesting because of its exceptional pleochroism. Rotated in different directions a tanzanite will exhibit multiple changes of color. Tanzanite has a low tolerance to ultrasonic cleaning, and should not be cleaned using this method. Thirty-eight prong set round brilliant cut diamonds, measuring 3.40 - 2.90 x 1.89mm (depth est.) approximate total weight of 38 Stones = 4.45ct. Graded in the setting. Clarity SI-1 to I-1. Color H - J. Total Weight of Colored Stones 7.55ct. Total Weight of Diamonds 4.45ct. Total Weight of Pendant With Chain 20.20gm. AIG Appraised at $33,140.00.
