One electronically tested 14KT White Gold tanzanite and diamond ring with a bright polish finish. The featured tanzanite is set within a gallery of diamonds and ribbons of white gold, supported by diamond set shoulders, completed by a six millimeter wide band. Identified with markings of "14K". Condition is new, good workmanship. Containing: One prong set rectangular cushion mixed cut natural tanzanite, measuring 13.20 x 9.60 x 7.85mm, approximate weight of 7.92ct with a non fluorescence, clarity is eye clean, type I, medium, moderately strong, violetish blue color, (GIA vB 5/4) to medium, very slightly grayish, bluish violet, (GIA bV 5/3), cut is good. Transmitting light with no distortion, transparent. Colored Stone Grading Report attached. Graded in the setting. Tanzanite is a very rare gemstone that is only found in the country of Tanzania. Originally discovered in 1967, Tiffany & Company, named the stone Tanzanite. It is found in the Usumburu Mountains that border the Umba Valley of Northern Tanzania. Tanzanite occurs in gray, brown, violet, blue, reddish-purple, & green. The gem is interesting because of its exceptional pleochroism. Rotated in different directions a tanzanite will exhibit multiple changes of color. Tanzanite has a low tolerance to ultrasonic cleaning, and should not be cleaned using this method. Fifty-Eight bead set round brilliant cut diamonds, measuring 1.55 - 1.45 x 0.09mm (depth est.) exact total weight 58 Stones = 0.75ct. Graded in the setting. Clarity SI-2 to I-2 Color D-F. Total Weight of Colored Stones 7.92ct. Total Weight of Diamonds 0.75ct. Total Weight of Ring 13.70 grams. AIG Appraised at $24,560.00.
