One electronically tested 14KT white gold ladies cast & assembled tanzanite and diamond pendant with chain. The seventeen inch length 14LT white gold designer style chain features a tanzanite pendant set within a diamond gallery, completed by a diamond set bail, terminating in a lobster claw clasp. Identified with markings of "14K RT". Condition is new, good workmanship. Containing: One prong set oval mixed cut natural tanzanite, measuring 14.90 x 10.80 x 8.00mm, approximate weight of 9.50ct., clarity is eye clean, type I, medium, very slightly grayish, blue color, (GIA B 5/3) to medium dark, very slightly grayish, bluish purple, (GIA bP 6/3), cut is good. Transmitting light with no distortion, transparent. Colored Stone Grading Report attached. Graded in the setting. Tanzanite is a very rare gemstone that is only found in the country of Tanzania. Discovered in 1967, Tiffany & Company, named the stone Tanzanite. It is found in the Usumburu Mountains that border the Umba Valley of northern Tanzania. Tanzanite occurs in gray, brown, violet, blue, reddish purple, & green. The gem is interesting because of its exceptional pleochroism. Rotated in different directions a tanzanite will exhibit multiple changes of color. Tanzanite has a low tolerance to ultrasonic cleaning, and should not be cleaned using this method. Numerous bead set round brilliant cut diamonds, measuring 1.30 - 1.10 x 0.72mm (depth est.) approximate total weight of Stones = 2.42ct. Graded in the setting. Clarity I-1 to I-2. Color G-I. Total Weight of Colored Stone 9.50ct. Total Weight of Diamonds 2.42ct. Total Weight of Pendant with Chain 23.60gm. AIG Appraised at $31,000.00.
