14KT White Gold 9.83ct Tanzanite and Diamond Ring A4081. Excellent Condition! RA6005FJ. One electronically tested 14KT white gold ladies cast & assembled tanzanite & diamond ring with a bright polish finish. Condition is new, good workmanship. The ring features an oval tanzanite set within a ribbon of diamonds supported by a lacy under gallery and shoulders, completed by a tapering four millimeter wide band. Identified with markings of "14K". Containing: One prong set oval mixed cut natural tanzanite, measuring 16.00 x 11.30 x 7.35mm, approximate weight of 9.83ct. Clarity is eye clean, type I, medium dark, moderately strong, blue color, (GIA B 6/4) to medium, very slightly grayish, violet, (GIA V 5/3), cut is very good. Transmitting light with no distortion, transparent. The stone displays 40% extinction. Colored Stones Grading Report attached. Graded in the setting. Tanzanite is very rare gemstone that is only found in the country of Tanzania. Originally discovered in 1967. Tiffany & Company, named the stone Tanzanite. It is found in the Usumburu Mountains that border the Umba Valley of northern Tanzania. Tanzanite occurs in gray, brown, violet, blue, reddish-purple, & green. The gem is interesting because of its exceptional pleochroism. Rotated in different directions a tanzanite will multiple changes of color. Tanzanite has a low tolerance to ultrasonic cleaning, and should not be cleaned using this method. Twenty prong set round brilliant cut diamonds, measuring 2.50 - 2.40 x 1.47mm (depth est.) approximate total weight of 20 Stones = 1.10ct. Graded in the setting. Clarity: SI-1 to I-2. Color: H-J. Total Weight of Tanzanite: 9.83ct. Total Weight of Diamond: 1.10ct. Total Weight of Ring: 14.14gm. AIG appraised at $32,885.00.
