14KT Yellow Gold 17.79ct Tanzanite and Diamond Ring A4992. Great Condition! BM1007FN. One electronically tested 14KT yellow gold ladies cast & assembled tanzanite and diamond ring with a bright polish finish. Condition is new, good workmanship. The featured tanzanite is set within a diamond bezel supported by diamond set shoulders, completed by a two and one-half millimeter wide band. Identified with markings of "14K". Containing: One prong set pear mixed cut natural tanzanite, measuring 18.30 x 13.30 x 10.60mm, approximate weight of 17.79ct., clarity is eye clean, type I, medium dark, moderately strong, violetish blue color, (GIA vB 6/4), cut is good. Transmitting light with no distortion, transparent. Colored Stone Grading Report attached. Graded in the setting. Tanzanite is a very rare gemstone that is only found in the country of Tanzania. Originally discovered in 1967. Tiffany & Company, named the stone tanzanite. It is found in the Usumburu Mountains that border the umba valley of northern tanzanite. Tanzanite occurs in gray, brown, violet, blue, reddish-purplish & green. The gem is interesting because of its exceptional pleochroism. Rotated in different directions a tanzanite will exhibit multiple change of color. Tanzanite has a low tolerance to ultrasonic cleaning, and should not be cleaned using this method. Thirty-nine prong set round brilliant cut diamonds, measuring 2.30 - 2.00 x 1.29mm (depth est.) approximate total weight of 39 Stones = 1.47ct. Graded in the setting. Clarity SI-1 to I-1. Color G - I. Total Weight of Tanzanite 17.79ct. Total Weight of Diamonds 1.47ct. Total Weight of Ring 9.97gm. AIG Appraised at $51,645.00.
