14KT Yellow Gold 41.90ctw Ruby and Diamond Necklace A5445. Great Condition. KP2104UD. One electronically tested 14KT yellow gold ladies cast & assembled ruby and diamond necklace. Sixteen inch length necklace features a pendant consisting of a ruby set within a stylized tiered diamond bezel supported by a ruby and diamond ribbon, terminating in a concealed clasp with safety. Bright polish finish. Identified with markings of "14K". Condition is new, good workmanship. Containing: One prong set oval mixed cut natural ruby, measuring 10.00 x 7.80 x 5.00mm, 10% bulge factor, approximate weight of 3.49ct., clarity is heavily included, type II, medium dark, very slightly brownish, slightly purplish red color, (GIA slpR 6/3), cut is good. Transmitting light somewhat diffusely, transparent to translucent. Naturally occurring internal & external characteristics are present. Indications of laboratory high temperature heat treatment, with glass & flux additives. Graded in the setting. Forty-three prong set oval mixed cut natural rubies, measuring 7.00 x 5.00 x 3.00mm, approximate total weight of 38.41ct., clarity is heavily included, type II, medium dark, very slightly brownish, slightly purplish red color, (GIA slpR 6/3), cut is good. Transmitting light somewhat diffusely, transparent to translucent. Naturally occurring internal & external characteristics are present. Indications of laboratory high temperature heat treatment, with glass & flux additives. Measurements & the color grade are an average for the group. Graded in the setting. Ruby has a low tolerance to rhodium plating, repolishing the surface, & ultrasonic cleaning. Eighty-Three prong set round brilliant cut diamonds, measuring 2.20 - 1.70 x 1.17mm (depth est.) approximate total weight of 83 Stones = 1.62ct. Color grade reflects the entire range of color for the group. Graded in the setting. Clarity SI-1 to I- 1. Color G to Light Yellow. Total Weight of Colored Stones 41.90ct. Total Weight of Diamonds 1.62ct. Total Weight of Necklace 30.40gm. AIG Appraised at $15,290.00.
