14KT Yellow Gold 5.10ct Tanzanite and Diamond Ring A5951. Great Condition! MF6522SU. One electronically tested 14KT yellow gold ladies cast tanzanite and diamond ring. Condition is new, good workmanship. The featured tanzanite is set within stylized diamond bezels, completed by a three and one-half millimeter wide band. Bright polish finish with milgrain detailing. Identified with markings of "585". Containing: One prong set oval mixed cut natural tanzanite, measuring 12.00 x 10.20 x 5.90mm, 5% bulge factor, approximate weight of 5.10ct., clarity is eye clean, type I, medium, very slightly grayish, violetish blue color, (GIA vB 5/3), cut is good. Transmitting light with no distortion, transparent. Colored Stone Grading Report attached. Graded in the setting. Tanzanite is a very rare gemstone that is only found in the country of Tanzania. Originally discovered in 1967. Tiffany & Company, named the stone Tanzanite. It is found in the Usumburu Mountains that border the Umba Valley of northern Tanzania. Tanzanite occurs in gray, brown, violet, blue, reddish-purple, & green. The gem is interesting because of its exceptional pleochroism. Rotated in different directions a tanzanite will exhibit multiple changes of color. Tanzanite has a low tolerance to ultrasonic cleaning, and should not be cleaned using this method. Forty-eight prong set round brilliant cut diamonds, measuring 2.70 - 1.80 x 1.35mm (depth est.) approximate total weight of 48 Stones = 2.07ct. Graded in the setting. Clarity SI-1 to I-1. Color H - J. Total Weight of Colored Stones 5.10ct. Total Weight of Diamonds 2.07ct. Total Weight of Ring 10.48gm. AIG Appraised at $20,405.00.
