One electronically tested 14KT and 18KT yellow gold ladies cast & assembled tanzanite, sapphire, and diamond necklace with a bright polish finish. Condition is new, good workmanship. Seventeen inch length necklace features a 14KT yellow gold tanzanite and two tiered diamond bezel pendant supported by a flexible chevron style 18KT yellow gold sapphire and diamond ribbon, terminating in a concealed clasp with safety. Identified with markings of "14K 750". Containing: One prong set pear modified brilliant cut natural tanzanite, measuring 24.03 x 14.53 x 10.26mm, exact weight 23.14ct., clarity is eye clean, type I, medium dark, very slightly grayish, violetish blue color, (GIA vB 6/3), cut is good. Transmitting light with no distortion, transparent. GIA Colored Stone Grading Report attached. Graded loose prior to setting in the GIA Laboratory, Report #6157962282.Tanzanite is a very rare gemstone that is only found in the country of Tanzania. Originally discovered in 1967. Tiffany & Company, named the stone Tanzanite. It is found in the Usumburu Mountains that border the Umba Valley of northern Tanzania. Tanzanite occurs in gray, brown, violet, blue, reddish-purple, & green. The gem is interesting because of its exceptional pleochroism. Rotated in different directions a tanzanite will exhibit multiple changes of color. Tanzanite has a low tolerance to ultrasonic cleaning, and should not be cleaned using this method. Forty-six prong set round mixed cut natural blue sapphires, measuring 3.20 - 3.10 x 2.00 mm, approximate. Total Weight of 7.39ct., clarity is slightly included, type II, dark, moderately strong, blue color, (GIA B 7/4), cut is good. Transmitting light with a minimum of distortion, transparent. Naturally occurring internal & external characteristics are present, including partial color zoning. The color grade is an average for the group. Graded in the setting. One Hundred Fifty-Three prong set round brilliant cut diamonds, measuring 2.70 - 2.20 x 1.47mm (depth est.) approximate. Total Weight of 153 Stones = 8.03ct. Graded in the setting. Clarity: VS-2 to SI-2. Color: H - J. Total Weight of Colored Stones 30.53ct. Total Weight of Diamonds 8.03ct. Total Weight of Necklace 40.29 grams. AIGAppraised at $99,615.00.
