One electronically tested 18KT white gold ladies cast & assembled tanzanite and diamond necklace. Condition is new, good workmanship. The necklace features a tanzanite set within an elaborate diamond lattice supported by a seventeen inch length diamond ribbon transitioning into matching white gold links, terminating in a concealed clasp with safety. Bright polish finish with yellow gold accents and milgrain detailing. Identified with markings of "750". Containing: One prong set marquise mixed cut natural tanzanite, measuring 29.50 x 15.00 x 11.50mm, approximate weight of 33.29ct., clarity is eye clean, type I, dark, moderately strong, violetish blue color, (GIA vB 7/4), cut is good. Transmitting light with no distortion, transparent. Colored Stone Grading Report attached. Graded in the setting. Tanzanite is a very rare gemstone that is only found in the country of Tanzania. Originally discovered in 1967. Tiffany & Company, named the stone Tanzanite. It is found in the Usumburu Mountains that border the Umba Valley of northern Tanzania. Tanzanite occurs in gray, brown, violet, blue, reddish-purple, & green. The gem is interesting because of its exceptional pleochroism. Rotated in different directions a tanzanite will exhibit multiple changes of color. Tanzanite has a low tolerance to ultrasonic cleaning, and should not be cleaned using this method. Two Hundred Two prong set round brilliant cut diamonds approximate total weight of 202 Stones = 2.64ct. Graded in the setting. Clarity: VS-2 to SI-2. Color: G - I Eighty channel set baguette cut diamonds approximate total weight of 80 Stones = 2.51ct. Graded in the setting. Clarity: VS-1 to SI-1. Color: G - I. Total Weight of Colored Stones 33.29ct. Total Weight of Diamonds 5.15ct. Total Weight of Necklace 41.56 grams. AIG Appraised at $111,620.00.
