One pair electronically tested 18KT white gold ladies cast & assembled south sea cultured pearl & diamond earrings with omega backs. Each earring features a south sea cultured pearl drop, completed by diamond set foliage. Bright polish finish. Trademark is AKMS. Identified with markings of "18K". Condition is new, good workmanship. Containing: Two south sea cultured pearls, 15.0mm in size to 15.5mm in size. The pearls are white rose' in color with a high luster, thick nacre, mostly round, lightly spotted with good uniformity Graded in the setting. South Sea Cultured Pearls are farmed in the ocean waters throughout Australia, the Philippines, Indonesia, and the southern coast of China. Australia's main culturing industry is located near the city of Broome, in the northwest, on the Kimberley coast. South Sea cultured pearls form in the Pinctada Maxima oyster, the world's largest (up to 34cm) pearl cultivating oyster. The Indian & Pacific Ocean, the Java & the South China Sea, are the native waters of the Pinctada Maxima oyster. There are two varieties of the Pinctada Maxima: the Gold Lipped oyster which produces the golden color pearls, and the Silver Lipped oyster which produces white color pearls. The South Sea cultured pearl takes from about two to three years to grow. It is produced by inserting a large bead into the oyster when it is about two years old. The South Sea pearl nacre has a unique satiny appearance, due partly to the fast moving and clean waters on the South Seas. Two prong set round brilliant cut diamonds, measuring 4.30 - 4.20 x 2.55mm (depth est.) approximate total weight of 2 Stones = 0.65ct. Graded in the setting. Clarity: VS-2. Color: G One Hundred Fifty-Eight prong & bead set round brilliant cut diamonds, measuring 2.50 - 1.90 x 1.32mm (depth est.) approximate total weight of 158 Stones = 6.25ct. Graded in the setting. Clarity: VVS-1 to VS-1. Color: F - H. Total Weight of Diamonds 6.90ct. Total Weight of Earrings 30.22 grams.
