18KT Yellow Gold Pearl and Multi-Color Gemstone Brooch JS28. New Condition! HX7041VP. One electronically tested 18KT yellow gold ladies cast & assembled multi gemstone and diamond brooch/pendant with a bright and anodized finish. The brooch/pendant features a floral design. The center of the brooch is a cultured south sea pearl supported by pink sapphire set petals and tsavorite garnet set leafs, completed by a horizontally place pin with a hinged, snap-locking hidden bail. Identified with markings of "18K 750". Condition is new, good workmanship. Containing: One south sea cultured pearl, 12.5mm in size to 12.0mm in size. The pearl is cream rose' in color with a high luster, thick nacre, baroque, lightly spotted Graded in the setting. South Sea Cultured Pearls are farmed in the ocean waters throughout Australia, the Philippines, Indonesia, and the southern coast of China. Australia's main culturing industry is located near the city of Broome, in the northwest, on the Kimberley coast. South Sea cultured pearls form in the Pinctada Maxima oyster, the world's largest (up to 34cm) pearl cultivating oyster. The Indian & Pacific Ocean, the Java & the South China Sea, are the native waters of the Pinctada Maxima oyster. There are two varieties of the Pinctada Maxima: the Gold Lipped oyster which produces the golden color pearls, and the Silver Lipped oyster which produces white color pearls. The South Sea cultured pearl takes from about two to three years to grow. It is produced by inserting a large bead into the oyster when it is about two years old. The South Sea pearl nacre has a unique satiny appearance, due partly to the fast moving and clean waters on the South Seas. One hundred ninety-eight pave‚ set round brilliant cut natural pink sapphires, measuring 1.70 - 1.60 x 1.08 mm, approximate total weight of 4.66ct., clarity is slightly included, type II, medium light, very slightly brownish, slightly purplish red color, (GIA slpR 4/3), cut is good. Transmitting light with a minimum of distortion, transparent. Naturally occurring internal & external characteristics are present. Color grade is an average for the group. Graded in the setting. Twenty pave‚ set round brilliant cut natural tsavorite garnets, measuring 1.70 - 1.60 x 1.07 mm, approximate total weight of 0.64ct., clarity is slightly included, type II, dark, moderately strong, slightly yellowish green color, (GIA slyG 7/4), cut is good. Transmitting light with a minimum of distortion, transparent. Naturally occurring internal & external characteristics are present. Color grade is an average for the group. Graded in the setting. Total Weight of Colored Stones 5.30ct. Total Weight of Brooch/Pendant 17.58 grams. AIG Appraised at $13,250.00.
