One electronically tested platinum ladies cast & assembled emerald and diamond brooch. The pendant features an elaborate diamond set frame supported by emerald ribbons, completed by a horizontally placed pin. Bright polish finish with milgrain detailing throughout. The brooch is reminiscent of the jewelry designs from the Art Deco Period. The Paris Exposition of Decorative Arts and Modern Manufacturers in 1925 gave the movement its name. The Art Deco Period is characterized with jewelry designs composed of bold geometric designs, & cubism. Condition is good. Containing: Sixteen channel set baguette step cut natural emeralds, measuring 1.90 x 1.00 x 0.65mm, approximate total weight of 0.20ct., clarity is heavily included, type III, medium dark, very slightly grayish, very slightly bluish green color, (GIA vslbG 6/3), cut is good. Transmitting light with a minimum of distortion, transparent. Naturally occurring internal & external characteristics are present. Measurements & the color grade are an average for the group. Indications of oil residue. Graded in the setting. Thirty-Four bead set Old European cut diamonds, measuring 2.50 - 2.20 x 1.46mm (depth est.) approximate total weight of 34 Stones = 1.76ct. Cutting style circa late 20th century. Graded in the setting. Clarity: VVS-2 to VS-2. Color: H - J. Total Weight of Colored Stones 0.20ct. Total Weight of Diamonds 1.76ct. Total Weight of Brooch 8.20 grams. AIG Appraised at $7,815.00.
