One electronically tested 925 silver ladies cast tanzanite solitaire ring with a bright polish finish. The featured tanzanite is supported by a lattice under gallery, completed by a one and one-half millimeter wide band. Identified with markings of "925". Condition is new, good workmanship. Containing: One prong set oval cabochon cut natural tanzanite, measuring 14.00 x 9.80 x 3.80mm, 10% bulge factor, approximate weight of 5.19ct, clarity is heavily included, type I, medium dark, very slightly grayish, bluish violet color, (GIA bV 6/3), cut is good. Transmitting light somewhat diffusely, translucent. Naturally occurring internal & external characteristics are present. Graded in the setting. Tanzanite is a very rare gemstone that is only found in the country of Tanzania. Originally discovered in 1967. Tiffany & Company, named the stone Tanzanite. It is found in the umburu Mountains that border the Umba Valley of northern Tanzania. Tanzanite occurs in gray, brown, violet, blue, reddish-purple, & green. The gem is interesting because of its exceptional pleochroism. Rotated in different directions a tanzanite will exhibit multiple changes of color.
